You play an integral part in our TECH organization as part of the team which owns our core libraries and services used by hundreds of engineers in various product engineering teams across the organization.</p><p>Together with the team you drive the evolution of our core microservices and collaborate with other SRE teams within the Platform Division. Our mission is to reduce the day-to-day heavy lifting of our product engineering teams when it comes to scaling large microservices platforms by providing high-level services and application building blocks.</p><p>This includes scouting for new technology, experimenting with alternative options, evolving developer tooling and the core services and libraries that we provide centrally</p><p><strong>Do what you love: </strong></p><ul><li>With your excellent communication skills, you enjoy making a positive impact across the TECH organization by providing technical guidance to your team and beyond</li><li>You are driving the evolution of our large-scale platform for cloud-native development, improving code quality, reliability, performance, and other non-functional aspects</li><li>With extensive hands-on experience in developing microservices - you are building and enhancing the foundation for all engineering teams, helping them to build and deliver their code more quickly and to run their applications more efficiently</li><li>With profound knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, you recognize market trends proactively, initiate projects and improvement activities, and empower your team to experiment with new technologies</li><li>You will use your communication skills to influence engineers and managers alike to focus on relevant engineering improvements aligned with our strategic goals</li><li>You will lead, plan, execute, and communicate cross-functional efforts with other product engineering teams and align with the SIXT TECH technology roadmap</li></ul></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Qualifications</h2></div><div><p><strong>Come as you are:</strong></p><ul><li>7 years of development experience in a higher-level language with at least 2 years of Go/ Golang development</li><li>8 years of deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure best practices and modern software engineering using micro services and cloud-native technologies</li><li>Experience leading complex projects with strong non-functional requirements in a distributed system based on cloud native technology</li><li>Effective communication skills in English and experience of collaborating with senior leaders and executive stakeholders</li></ul></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Additional Information</h2></div><div><p>Working at SIXT not only means creating the future of mobility, but also offers personal benefits.
