Rakuten Mobile Germany is building a nationwide mobile network based on the industry-leading Rakuten Symphony platform developed from Singapore and successfully deployed in Japan. Symphony is a fully virtualized, cloud-native telco platform at the cutting edge of technology: Rakuten partners with research organizations, start-ups, and SMEs through its Network Innovation Lab on the future of OpenRAN and autonomous networks of the future. We are in the process of deploying a nation-wide mobile network in Germany. Your Role We are looking for a Security Country Manager with strong background and experience in IT Security to lead the security delivery for Germany. In this role you are end-to-end responsible for establish hacking resilience for our network in Germany. You are leading a team, provide a point-of-contact for our clients, and liaison with internal technical teams. Your Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and grow the Germany-based security team</li><li>Responsible for all security domains: Cyber Assurance, Security Architecture, Security Operations, Fraud Management, and Regulatory Compliance</li><li>Partner across Rakuten IT and security teams to plan and coordinate the execution of critical projects; in particular: deploying our German mobile network securely</li><li>Define the project scope and milestones of delivery projects</li><li>Report on the delivery status reports to Rakuten’s technology leadership</li><li>Identify and resolve complex challenges related to people, processes, technology, and strategy, both internally (organizational) and externally (client)</li><li>Review industry trends to identify areas where new security measures should be implemented; contribute to Symphony’s overall security strategy and architecture</li></ul>Your Skills and Background<ul><li>Significant (2+ years) of experience working in a technology-focused Leadership Role</li><li>Background in security/network architecture or security assurance</li><li>Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage the project deliveries </li><li>Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to handle communication across different stakeholder groups</li><li>Independent self-starter, problem-solving mindset, team player and ability to multi-task</li><li>Strong presentation skills, able to convey complex concepts to a variety of audiences </li><li>Strong project management abilities</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and analytical mindset</li></ul> Nice to haves<ul><li>Cyber security background in multiple of our main technical areas –Vulnerability management, penetration testing, cloud security, red teaming, cyber risk, security architecture</li><li>German language skills</li></ul> We are looking forward to receiving your application!</div>
