<div><h2><strong>About the Job</strong></h2> <p>We’re looking for an experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d) to join an innovative startup that’s harnessing cutting-edge AI technology to transform regulatory workflows in order to foster speed and innovation in the Life Sciences industry. </p> <p>In your day-to-day work, you’ll leverage your knowledge in Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, or Regulatory Compliance. You’ll own a large part of our ML services and complete a team of 3 highly-skilled ML Engineers. You'll make key technical decisions to optimise the speed of iteration, data quality, and model performance.</p> <p>Join our portfolio company: an innovative startup that’s harnessing cutting-edge AI technology to transform regulatory workflows in order to foster speed and innovation in the Life Sciences industry. </p> <h2><strong>In this role, you’ll:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Develop the core data pipelines &amp; ML services</li> <li>Own ML-based features end-to-end, from the first prototype to the final delivery</li> <li>Balance high-quality &amp; performant code while shipping quickly</li> <li>Contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning</li> <li>Drive technical decisions across our ML stack</li> </ul> <h2>Bonus points for experience with:</h2> <ul> <li>Document-based data pipelines</li> <li>Natural Language Processing</li> <li>Web scraping</li> <li>Startups, especially in founding roles</li> <li>The life sciences or regulatory compliance sectors</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Your Profile</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experienced in ML engineering, with strong data science &amp; python skills</li> <li>Proven track record of shipping ML-based products in a fast-paced environment, ideally from the earliest stages</li> <li>Ability to ship quickly, and break down complex problems into small &amp; modular solutions</li> <li>Exceptional problem-solving abilities &amp; communication skills</li> <li>Passion for our portfolio company’s mission and excitement about revolutionizing an old-school industry with AI</li> </ul> <p>Please note that we are looking for support in the <strong>Berlin</strong> office of our portfolio company.
