Our team is focused on building a performant and reliable BI platform, maintaining and developing best practices for data developers and users, developing core data sets and ensuring everyone working with data is empowered to work independently and efficiently. The role is about the big picture of how data &amp; BI tools are utilized to solve company-wide data needs, scaling to thousands of users. If you have solid data modeling and SQL skills, including SQL query optimization, feel comfortable with Python based data pipeline management and would be interested in taking ownership of our BI platform as a whole, this role might be for you. </p><p><strong>Your daily work will include:</strong></p><p>Working on our centrally maintained Looker data models and data pipelines to make them as performant as possible. You will be optimizing the usage of our Looker instance and Snowflake resources together with our engineering team. You will take the lead in re-designing data models within Looker for improved user and developer experience. A part of your role will be to develop LookML best practices and make sure they are adopted by our Looker developer community.</p><p>You'll get to utilize our modern BI stack as part of your work (Python, Looker, Snowflake, Airflow, AWS, Kafka, Github). </p></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Qualifications</h2></div><div><p>• Extensive experience working as a BI/Analytics Developer or Data Engineer</p><p>• Demonstrated experience in taking responsibility for a large-scale BI infrastructure</p><p>• Strong hands-on experience with data modeling, focused on query performance and scalability in cloud based data environments</p><p>• Experience with Python, writing performant SQL queries, Airflow, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar)</p><p>• Experience with LookML development is a strong plus</p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><p>• Complex environment with vast quantities of data — you’ll get hands-on experience in working on various projects, tools, and datasets. </p><p>• You can choose the location from our tech hubs Helsinki, Berlin, Stockholm or Tel Aviv.
