<div><section><div><p></p><h2>Job Description</h2></div><div><p>We are looking for a <strong>BI QA Engineer (m/f/d)</strong> to be part of our BI-APP Team. Our BI-APP Team uses data from across the company and transforms it into logics &amp; scores, used to provide the best personalized user shopping experience.</p><p>As a <strong>BI QA Engineer (m/f/d)</strong> in this team, you will ensure that our recommendation engine, product sorting logic, and search in the shop satisfy high-quality standards. You’ll work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers to achieve this. Further, you’ll improve and establish translating business requirements into an automated testing suite.</p><p> </p><p><strong>What you will do</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure the quality and reliability of the data pipelines and algorithms powering AY's recommendations, sorting, and search features</li><li>Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for various Products, focusing on data accuracy, algorithm performance, and user experience impact</li><li>Develop and maintain automated data quality checks, tests and monitoring systems</li><li>Contribute to the evolving data quality standards and best practices within the BIAPP team</li><li>Design, monitor and maintain QA reports, KPIs &amp; quality trends for our internal data systems</li><li>Participate in post-mortem analysis of production issues to identify root causes and define QA measures to prevent future failures</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Who you are</strong></p><ul><li>Practical experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, pytest) and testing APIs, ideally within data science or recommendation system contexts</li><li>Experience designing testing strategies for dynamic products with variable data inputs.</li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD processes (e.g.Gitlab CI, Github Actions), ticketing systems (e.g., Jira), and monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog) is a plus</li><li>Strong analytical skills with proven experience using SQL and data analysis tools</li><li>Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques</li><li>Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented programming language, such as Python or JavaScript</li><li>Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data quality principles</li><li>Fascinated by the data behind personalized shopping: You're driven to understand how data powers systems like search, recommendations, and product sorting in an e-commerce environment</li><li>Highly structured and detail-oriented work style</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with an adaptable mindset for a fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English for clear collaboration</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively</li><li>Proactive and self-driven, with a passion for data quality and a strong desire for continuous learning and growth</li></ul><p><strong>Nice to have</strong><br> </p><ul><li>You are familiar with CI/CD processes (e.g.Gitlab CI, Github Actions), ticketing systems (e.g., Jira), and monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog)</li></ul></div></section></div>
