<h2>Your role</h2>
<p>This is a remote role. Therefore, you’d be able to work from anywhere you want that is +/- 2 hours from Germany’s time zone while ensuring that we still don’t lose the personal touch through frequent personal encounters in Berlin. </p>
<p>You will be one of the first engineers and will have the opportunity to apply artificial intelligence to the manufacturing industry. As an early engineer, you’ll be a core part of our product. You are full-stack by nature and care about products and user experience, not specific technologies. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to define and architect an entirely new platform from the bottom up.</p>
<p>You will not be bound by legacy technologies and slow processes. As our venture grows, you will grow too and have an opportunity to expand our engineering team as well as create an engineering culture. This role is for entrepreneurial-minded engineers who want to be an early part of a fast-growing startup. Our fast-growing nature also means you will receive increasingly more responsibilities. You’d be required to take the lead on the major projects and support Junior Full-Stack engineers with their developments.</p>
<p>Your role will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Building our Web app from the ground up.</li>
<li>Use your full-stack experience to design intelligent solutions that include front-end and back-end systems—and teach others to do so by example.</li>
<li>Proactively collaborate closely with engineers, product designers, and product owners to drive the evolution of our technology.</li>
<li>API and infrastructure development</li>
<li>Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other engineering teams to manage dependencies and deliverables to ensure end-to-end integration and quality</li>
<li>Ensure development of a robust, safe, secure, highly available, and highly scalable product</li>
</ul>
<h2>Your profile</h2>
<p>We define ourselves by a culture of ownership and cooperation. We are looking for driven, capable, visionary, and prudent talents with proven track records of personal, academic, and professional achievement:</p>
<p><strong>Essentials:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>3+ years experience as a full-stack engineer building web applications from scratch.</li>
<li>Experience developing Python-based back-end applications</li>
<li>Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript</li>
<li>Experience with Frontend Frameworks (React, Angular…)</li>
<li>Experience designing, implementing, and interacting with REST APIs</li>
<li>Experience with SQL databases (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite)</li>
<li>Passionate about creating outstanding products with a simple interface</li>
<li>You have experience with a Cloud-based application environment (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)</li>
<li>BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.</li>
<li>Fluency in English (German not required).</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Industry/freelance experience developing web applications for data processing and visualization</li>
<li>You understand and advocate for sound engineering practices, including agile methodology, code review, version control, clean and maintainable code, CI/CD.</li>
<li>Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on mentality, resilience, and a passion for solving significant challenges using elegant solutions.</li>
<li>An interest in AI, computer vision, and deep learning.</li>
