We are looking for an Information Security Manager for our Information Security Team in the heart of buzzing Berlin! 
Defining and operating a framework of information security controls and management strategies as well as promote information security and data compliance. Consult stakeholders on the technical implementation of information security and data compliance measures combined with monitoring and reporting of the information security status.
You will:
<ul>
<li>Support, drive and improve Babbel's information security strategy on a wide range of topics</li>
<li>Be an active part in the Information Security Management System (ISMS) of Babbel</li>
<li>Perform information security governance related tasks (e.g. policy creation and management for all information security topics, process creation and improvements, information security framework improvements)</li>
<li>Requirements management for information security and data compliance</li>
<li>Support information security and data compliance reviews and reporting (e.g. maturity assessment)</li>
<li>Perform and improve information security risk management activities (e.g. risk identification, evaluation and assessment) from a general perspective</li>
<li>Stakeholder communication and collaboration across all Babbel departments and teams (engineers, engineering managers, technical product managers, product owners, leadership, etc.)</li>
<li>Participate in information security relevant due diligence activities (e.g. vendor and product assessments)</li>
<li>Participate and support in relevant audit preparations at Babbel</li>
<li>Strengthen Babbels information security and data compliance culture (with e.g. awareness presentations)</li>
<li>Support information security knowledge management</li>
<li>Assist in incident management activities</li>
</ul>
You have:
<ul>
<li>InfoSec Management and ISMS (e.g 27001, NIST, etc.)</li>
<li>Business understanding (incl. supply chain) for software driven companies education technology, SaaS,</li>
<li>Organizational understanding</li>
<li>Experience in information security governance activities (e.g. create, improve and implement processes, policies as well as perform control activities)</li>
<li>Strategic thinking: What you do follows an overall strategy and you see the big picture</li>
<li>Risk Management experience</li>
<li>General cloud security knowledge (GCP and/or AWS as plus)</li>
<li>Analytic skills: you think things through and are a thought leader</li>
<li>Ownership mindset for tasks: You take end-to-end responsibility for a task from idea/start to finish</li>
<li>Good understanding of lean and agile practices</li>
<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Fluency in written and spoken English</li>
<li>Data Compliance knowledge (GDPR, CCPA, etc. ) as plus</li>
</ul>
