As a Senior Software Engineer in the Cloud Infrastructure &amp; Reliability team in our Platform Engineering organization, you will help maintain and develop a scalable, reliable and easy-to-use self-service compute platform for the Scout24 product development teams, that meets the functional and nonfunctional requirements of their applications. You will develop and integrate observability services that will help our engineers gain valuable insights into their applications. 
Our motto is "You build it, you run it”. Your software will empower our teams to build products our customers love, enable them to make decisions based on data, and to run their applications with ease. 
Our platform is built on top of AWS (Amazon Web Services), as well as popular open-source solutions such as Kubernetes and AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit). It is integrated with observability platforms like DataDog, OpsGenie, and our own ELK stack.

What your role will look like:

<li>Develop state-of-the art software products around topics like Platform as a Service, Reliability and Observability</li>
<li>Support companywide adoption of your team’s products and cloud technologies</li>
<li>Solve challenging problems in a distributed system serving millions of customers</li>
<li>Apply product thinking and modern software engineering practices when developing the tools and services of your team</li>
<li>Be a mentor and help your team mates to develop as professionals</li>
<li>Share your knowledge in blog posts and at meetups and conferences</li>
</ul>
What you need to succeed:
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in modern programming languages - preferably TypeScript, JavaScript or Golang</li>
<li>Ability to implement and consume Rest APIs</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of cloud providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform) and their services and APIs</li>
<li>Deep understanding of Kubernetes microservices architectures and internal components</li>
<li>Confident presentation and strong influence skills - able to adapt level and style to the audience</li>
<li>A start-small-learn-fast attitude</li>
<li>Empathy for developers; a passion for internal platforms as a service to help organizations scale and maximize efficiency and simplicity</li>

<h2>Nice to have:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Experience with designing and operating a network architecture in the cloud including load-balancing (AWS ALBs), CDNs (AWS Cloudfront) and logically isolated virtual networks (AWS VPCs)</li>
<li>Experience with AWS CDK, Python, Kotlin/Java</li>
