For us it’s a clear win-win situation, but it takes an entire team to make sure that this is possible. 💪 So, in order to achieve our mission to build the best tools for keeping the fine balance between supply and demand of delivery services at any given time and place, we’ve come to the point where we felt the need to build a dedicated team for our Supply and Demand efforts and we are now in need of an Engineering Team Lead to, yes, lead the way!</p><p>There is a lot of intricate engineering and especially data science that goes on in this new team. You will be working with a frontend engineer, UX designers, backend engineers, and data scientists, and right now we’re building our supply and demand forecasting systems of the future, but we need your help in doing so and we want to bring you in to strengthen the team with your team leading skills. We work with modern Typescript (React) and a big chunk of our backend is built using Python and some Scala. Some of the themes we’ll be working on to maintain the said balance include building a new service for supply and demand forecasting and many other projects we’re working on. We’re designing and implementing APIs, helping data scientists integrate their new ML-based models, as well as setting up data pipelines between our backend and data warehouse.</p><p>As a Team Lead you'll be an inspirer, facilitator, and an enabler for the team to do what they do best, by making personal development plans, hosting regular 1on1s, and taking part in recruitment. We expect you to be a good communicator, willing to collaborate with people outside of your own team, be product oriented and a proactive problem solver willing to bring up issues in a constructive manner to the team and the Wolt Product team at large.
