<h2>ABOUT THE TEAM</h2>
<p>To support Trade Republic’s mission, we —the Data Platform — enable well-informed decision making through creating self-service platforms for Experimentation, Machine Learning and Analytics. By joining the Data Infrastructure team you will play a key role in creating the underlying foundation that powers up such platforms. </p>
<p>The Data Infrastructure team empowers users to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Create, schedule, and monitor workflows that power up data products and enable data-driven decisions</li>
<li>Store, compute, secure &amp; catalog data in the warehouse &amp; lake</li>
<li>Bring data from one place to another. Both in real time and in batches</li>
</ul>
<h2>WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?</h2>
<ul>
<li>Ensure scalability, stability and availability of our systems through automation, problem prevention and evangelising system ownership culture</li>
<li>Further develop the monitoring and alerting for our systems to ensure a reliable service to our customers</li>
<li>Provide the means for teams to have full observability (e.g. latency, availability, health metrics…) for mission-critical systems once they are live</li>
<li>Design and maintain scalable infrastructure on the Cloud (AWS), leveraging infrastructure as code with Terraform</li>
<li>Architect and ship software to help engineering teams adopt best practices to ship software faster through automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines</li>
<li>Empower your colleagues to become better every day by giving them constant constructive feedback, sharing acquired knowledge and guiding them when applicable</li>
</ul>
<h2>WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR</h2>
<ul>
<li>Previous Experience working in software engineering. This includes cloud, infrastructure, distributed systems, systems engineering and networking)</li>
<li>Well-rounded understanding of managing business-critical systems in cloud infrastructure, following best practices for observability and scalability</li>
<li>Good understanding of distributed systems, system engineering and networking</li>
<li>Solid experience with at least one programming language. We mostly use Kotlin, Java and Python but we are far more interested in your well-roundedness as an engineer rather than knowledge of a certain language, tool or framework</li>
<li>Exceptional ownership and drive to create business impact &amp; to empower your colleagues to become better every day</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and ability to drive ideas &amp; technical implementations to stakeholders from various backgrounds</li>
