We believe in the importance of personal and professional growth of Checktur.io employees.<br><br><p>Check out our current tech stack: https://stackshare.io/checktur-io/apps.</p><br><h1>Your tasks</h1><p></p><ul><li>You work together with CTO to define the technology strategy</li><li>You take responsibility for the entire development cycle - from architecture to implementation, automated testing, performance testing, deployment and maintenance. </li><li>You implement and optimize backend services, features, algorithms and APIs.</li><li>You’ll work closely with mobile &amp; web engineers.</li><li>You optimize solutions to achieve required usability, performance, stability and scalability.</li><li>You'll work with PMs and other engineers to define, design, and develop our SaaS platform.</li><li>You will guide and advise junior colleagues on software quality, best practices and design patterns.</li><li>You participate in Checktur.io's ideation and innovation process to identify the next breakthrough developments.</li><li>You promote our engineering culture by constantly updating your knowledge and adapting new technologies.</li></ul><br><br><h1>Your Profile</h1><p></p><ul><li>Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.</li><li>You have a track record of writing great code that is performant, scalable, and maintainable. </li><li>You have a minimum 3 years of professional experience in Java development.</li><li>You are an excellent senior programmer in Java, and additional experience in Python or Kotlin are a plus.</li><li>You have professional experience with backend frameworks such as Spring or similar.</li><li>You are adept at designing, implementing and maintaining scalable and flexible data storage strategies and have previous experience with some leading SQL and NoSQL solutions.</li><li>You understand algorithms and their complexity.</li><li>You know coding conventions, best practice and design patterns.</li><li>You have implemented microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.</li><li>You are familiar with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS, and building apps with docker containers.</li><li>You have experience with automated deployment and monitoring through CI/CD pipeline.</li><li>You have practiced agile development methodologies.</li></ul><br>NICE TO HAVE<ul><li>Knowledge of design-thinking methods is a plus.</li><li>Experience with mobile or web development are a plus.</li><li>Experience with machine learning is a plus.</li></ul><br><h1>What we offer you</h1><p></p><ul><li>The opportunity to work in an innovative and fast-growing company in the transportation and logistics industry and be instrumental in its continued growth.</li><li>Experienced and motivated team with short decision-making and little bureaucracy.</li><li>An open-feedback culture focused on learning, coaching and personal development.</li><li>Constant new challenges that will develop you professionally &amp; personally.</li><li>A fun, diverse and collaborative work environment with regular team and community events.</li><li>An attractive employee compensation package with performance-based pay.</li><li>A flexible remote-first workplace with the option to work from Berlin.</li></ul></div>
