Would you like to be in the midst of it all, learning, growing, and expanding into new verticals together with us? Does building stuff from scratch sound like something you’d like to do? If the answers to all 3 questions are “yes”, then great news since Wolt is looking for a new Team Lead to join our Courier Onboarding Team!</p><p>Courier Group consists of several amazing teams responsible for logistics optimisation, logistics growth, courier earnings, supply and demand forecasting and providing top notch courier onboarding and delivery experiences, along with our own core team to orchestrate infrastructure and common system level topics. The whole Courier Group is quite an ecosystem of its own so we collaborate quite a lot across all teams. Our backend is mostly built on Scala and React and React Native, but we’ve also got some Python and even C++ going on!</p><p>In this ecosystem, the Courier Onboarding Team is the very first gear of the Courier Group and Wolt - it’s where everything starts for our Courier Partners as we are the ones helping them to become one! This story begins with us being able to provide work opportunities for people, so our work is not only impactful for the company, it is also meaningful for us as individuals. 💙 The projects in this team are super interesting and come with many nuances: together with your team you’ll be working on the tools needed to onboard our Courier Partners as fast and as smoothly as we can. Since we work with Courier Partner onboarding within the 23 countries Wolt operates in, you’ll learn to navigate the many country-specific regulations, see how people in different countries use our system, what challenges there are that we can solve, and, at the end of the day, figure out how can we make our operations team’s life easier!</p><p>The Courier Onboarding Team itself reflects the very core of the idea behind its operations as the 11 (kind, smart, and overall awesome) team members are located in 4 countries and spread across 2 time zones: and (most of the team is in Germany). We work in a cross-functional environment and right now the team consists of frontend, backend, and React Native engineers, as well as folks working on QA, Analytics, Design, and Product Management.</p><p>As a Team Lead, you'll, well, lead the way! To begin with, on the organisational scale you’ll be driving the development of top-quality software and communicating effectively with the Wolt Product team at large. Currently we’re revamping most of our systems, so it’s a great opportunity to make an impact on the way we onboard new Courier Partners so they can start making deliveries and earning money within a few hours from signing up by creating scalable, automated solutions for documents verification, GDPR, inventory management, referral program, internal tooling, and streamlining onboarding processes (such as gear pickup). </p><p>And, of course, you’ll be an inspirer, facilitator, and an enabler for the team to do what they do best by running the weekly cycle of the team, designing technical solutions, making personal development plans, hosting regular 1on1s, taking part in recruitment, and being there for your team whenever they need you.</p><p>📍This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki or Berlin!</p></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Qualifications</h2></div><div><p>👉 You are one of those unicorns, with both leadership experience and the capability to contribute hands-on.</p><p>👉You are people oriented, have a servant leadership mindset, are empathetic and kind, even in challenging times.</p><p>👉You have a technical mindset and can support the team to make technical decisions.</p><p>👉 Your stakeholder management skills are excellent. </p><p>👉 You have solid experience in software engineering,  designing and implementing quality software on a large scale within a complex domain</p><p>👉You know how to cut down big services to smaller parts.</p><p>👉 You’re a dedicated person who is pragmatic with a positive attitude, who doesn't shy away from going outside of their comfort zone, and demonstrates curiosity and willingness to keep continuously learning.</p></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Additional Information</h2></div><div><p>💯 Overall our product organization consists of a team of over 400 people at Wolt.
