Welcome to Bosch.</strong></p><p>The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application!</p></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Job Description</h2></div><div><ul><li>As Platform Ramp-up Director Silicon Carbide Technology &amp; Operations, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a subset of key strategic projects within the overall industrialisation and ramp-up programme for silicon carbide. </li><li>You are also the functional leader of the line functions (e.g. manufacturing, operations, purchasing, development...) </li><li>Another part of your job is to ensure the ramp-up and delivery to the customer in terms of quality, cost and delivery (QCD) of an entire technology platform for all production sites, including internal plants and external suppliers and you will ensure the ability to achieve QCD targets: creating transparency on actual and expected performance in terms of key metrics, identifying gaps, defining and follow-up on dedicated and selective measures ("Gate Keeper"). You support customer interfaces at the operational and partially at the management level. Stay in touch with the (middle-)management level of the customer and provide support or offer (technical) deep dives where needed.</li><li>Furthermore, you ensure the timely availability of necessary raw materials and production capacities at all stages of the value chain - especially necessary inputs, in order to achieve accurate planning and tracking of actual capacity building activities. You are involved in participating in regular information exchange for the entire development product roadmap for the platform.</li><li>You bring together and coordinate the existing operations teams (e.g. SET, task forces) for the platform. You support and steer the core team and facilitate/facilitate decisions on (operational) strategy alignment in the core team review. </li><li>Last but not least, you will prepare regular status reports on progress, performance, risks and actions to the SO leadership, AE-BV and the Sector Board. You will have a high level of operational involvement to ensure alignment with other initiatives. You will support the development of the necessary capabilities within the line organization and also assist in the handover after sufficient stabilization of the individual (sub-)projects. </li></ul></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Qualifications</h2></div><div><ul><li><strong>Education: </strong>completed university studies (master's degree/diploma/PhD) in Engineering, Physics, Production Management or a comparable subject</li><li><strong>Experience and Knowledge: </strong>several years of experience in the Semiconductor Industry, ideally in manufacturing, operations or manufacturing technology environment; extensive experience in management of complex projects and/or programs; good knowledge of all (technical) aspects in the semiconductor supply chain (Frontend to Final Test); ideally practical first-hand experience in ramping up and/or scaling new semiconductor sites or major site extensions and ramp-up of new product plattforms with a high degree of novelty; knowledge of semiconductor business models (IDM, Foundry/Fabless, Fablite); experience in leading/guiding intercultural teams with the willingness to travel; knowledge of associated semiconductor operations processes is benefical e.g. planning expertise (volume/supply chain/investment);</li><li><strong>Personality and Working Practice: </strong>great collaborative &amp; communication skills; excellent networker within and across functional departments; entrepreneurial spirit; experience and competence in working with all hierarchical levels; successfully displayed customer-oriented mindset and positive costumer relations; able to deal with deep technical topics if required, however maintain a level of strategic vision and a view for the "big picture" and pragmatic solutions where needed; high degree of responsibility and ability to "get things done"</li><li><strong>Languages: </strong>very good communication skills in written and spoken English and German</li></ul><p>Application deadline up to and including 27th of November 2023.</p></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Additional Information</h2></div><div><p>You want to work remotely or part-time - we offer great opportunities for mobile working as well as different part-time models or job-sharing.
