We are in the process of deploying a nation-wide mobile network in Germany. Your Role We are looking for a leader of our blue team, with responsibility of threat monitoring and vulnerability management. Both of these areas will be highly automated, and the team mostly outsourced. We are seeking an experienced vendor manager with engineering background and a hacker mindset.This is your opportunity to help build security into a critical infrastructure from day 1. Your Responsibilities <ul><li>You are responsible for the design and implementation of a modern, highly automated threat detection and vulnerability management system</li><li>You manage a vendor responsible for threat monitoring, running security scans, and supporting technology teams within Rakuten to act on the monitoring and scan results</li><li>You guide the vendor team in operating innovative tools to automate security monitoring and assessments and engage with infrastructure and developer teams to improve the security lifecycle</li><li>You create solutions to mitigate hacking risks, based on deep understanding of the hackers’ mindset</li><li>You advise in the incident response and remediation activities of technology teams inside Rakuten and our vendors</li><li>You calculate and report threat indicators and hackability scores to the top management of Rakuten Symphony, as well as to Rakuten Inc</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>5+ years of software security testing and/or monitoring experience, including in open-scope (i.e., purple team) scenarios</li><li>Degree in IT or comparable technical education or professional experience</li><li>Good understanding of hacking threats</li><li>Strong expertise in security-relevant processes, including infrastructure hardening, patching, and DevSecOps</li><li>Experience with threat monitoring</li><li>Experience with vulnerability management and risk management tools</li><li>Relevant work experience in infrastructure operations or cyber risk management</li><li>Great communication skills in English across all org levels</li><li>Ability and eagerness to advise on complex technology questions</li><li>Problem-solving skills in information security projects</li><li>Ability to work fully independent and solve complex problems or situations based on multiple sources of information</li><li>Niche knowledge &amp; skills required (e.g., cloud security, endpoint detection &amp; response, telco hacking)</li><li>Confident scripting, building tools, implementing test automation</li><li>You enjoy the process of detecting and help remediating security issues</li></ul> We look forward to receiving your application!</div>
