In the German IT industry, sales have grown steadily over the past ten years and will reach 102.5 billion euros in 2021. For 2022, the forecast so far is 108.6 billion euros. The industry's strong growth is related to the fact that IT is playing an increasingly important role in all areas of consumers' daily lives, in the workplace, in administration, in politics and in business.

IT consultants can also play an active role in shaping the future in the field of management consulting.

Due to the ever-increasing importance of information technology in the economy, IT consultants are also becoming more and more important. There are more and more jobs for IT specialists. An IT consultant, also known as an IT advisor or IT consultant, advises and supports companies in the introduction or further development of IT systems. Längst arbeiten Informatiker nicht mehr nur in Computer- oder IT-Unternehmen oder in klassischen IT-Abteilungen. Egal, für welche Branche du dich entscheidest, die Unternehmen sind sehr an einem gut qualifizierten Informatiker interessiert.  So sind beispielsweise Berufsbilder wie Softwareentwickler, Wirtschaftsinformatiker, Systeminformatiker, technischer und medizinischer Fachinformatiker und natürlich Fachinformatiker immer gefragter.

Dabei steigen die technischen Anforderungen an moderne Fahrzeuge ständig, so dass Informatiker besonders für moderne Sicherheitssysteme, aktive Fahrassistenten wie adaptive cruise control oder Tempomat, aber auch für Kommunikationstechnik im Fahrzeug oder komplexe LC-Displays geeignet sind. Von der Aufgabe des Informatikers im Projektmanagement bis zur Umsetzung bringen Informatiker das nötige Know-how mit und treiben die Technik voran.

Wenn es in einem Unternehmen oder einer Behörde zu einem Cyberangriff, einem Phishing, Hacking oder Scamming gekommen ist, bist du als Computer- oder IT-Forensiker zur Stelle.Da die Kriminalität auch vor der Digitalisierung nicht Halt macht, wird der Beruf des IT-Forensikers immer wichtiger. Was früher z.B. nur in der Gerichtsmedizin notwendig war, ist heute auch ein wichtiges Einsatzgebiet für die Beweissicherung im Internet. Du analysierst den Vorfall, untersuchst den Schaden und sicherst Daten und damit Beweise, die auf den Täter hinweisen. Doch das ist nicht Ihr einziges Betätigungsfeld. In der IT-Forensik der Polizei sichern und analysieren Sie digitale Spuren, um Verbrechen aufzuklären, die jenseits des Internets stattgefunden haben.
