#### Mistake No. 1: Unpunctual appearance
The interview starts when you walk into the company. Far too often, applicants fail to find out about the company. Reading the job advertisement is not enough. #### Mistake No. 3: Dressing inappropriately

You can never say that you are overdoing it with the clothes: When in doubt, always answer " Yes" to the question "Should I wear a tie/suit?". Even if the company is considered "young and casual", you should appear concerned and serious.

#### Mistake No. 4: Answering the cell phone or looking at the clock

Answering a call and looking at the clock often seems disrespectful and is considered a sign that the applicant is not paying any attention. The employer should realize how important the interview and the job are to you!

#### Mistake No. 5: Not showing enough enthusiasm ( not talking enough)

#### Mistake 6: Showing too much interest in the company's services.

#### Mistake No. 8 : Indicate stress clearly

Exposure to interview stress is a very normal condition. Recruiters can immediately sense if you are not feeling well and notice any of your mental tics. That's why it's especially important to keep your stress under control, or at least not show it outwardly.

A good example: Your nervousness clearly shows in your closed body language.

This is pretty much the opposite of the previous mistake: the conversation moves forward, you feel more and more comfortable. But be careful that you don't drift too much into familiarity or go too much into your personal life! The recruiter should guide the conversation and only bring up personal topics when they ask you to.

#### Mistake No. 10 : Too much self-confidence / arrogance

A confident, self-assured and open demeanor is very important during a job interview. The line between self-confidence and arrogance is sometimes narrower than you think. You lose credibility if you make too many claims. You should use examples and stories to illustrate your statements. Don't be afraid to be humble by choosing phrases like "I was fortunate to ...". However, don't fall into self-slander! (I have no merit ...).

All the interactions one has with the company's employees can be taken into account when evaluating the application.

Nachdem wir nun besprochen haben, wie du dich bestmöglich auf das Gespräch vorbereiten kannst, möchten wir dich noch auf einige Fehler aufmerksam machen, die du in jedem Fall im Gespräch vermeiden solltest.

**Im Folgenden haben wir eine Reihe von Absolute Dont's für das Gespräch aufgelistet, die du vermeiden solltest, sodass du die besten Chancen hast, den gewünschten Job zu erlangen.**

#### Fehler Nr. 1: Unpünktliches Erscheinen
Das Vorstellungsgespräch beginnt, wenn man das Unternehmen betreten hat. Wenn du zu spät kommst, dann könnte es sein, dass du regelmäßig unpünktlich zur Arbeit kommst, dass du Schwierigkeiten mit deinem Zeitmanagement hast, dass du automatisch als unhöflich angesehen wirst oder noch schlimmer: dass die angebotene Stelle nicht interessant für dich als Bewerber ist.

Einen schlechten ersten Eindruck lässt sich nur sehr schwer wieder beseitigen.Daher dies ist immer wieder der erste Fehler, den man bei einem Vorstellungsgespräch vermeiden sollte.

#### Fehler Nr. 2: Unvorbereitetes Erscheinen beim Gespräch Z.B: Nicht ausreichend über das Unternehmen informiert zu sein.

Viel zu oft unterlassen es die Bewerber, sich über das Unternehmen zu informieren. Die Stellenanzeige zu lesen, ist nicht ausreichend. Wenn man nicht nur die Stelle, sondern auch das Unternehmen und seine Branche kennt, steht man nicht sprachlos vor dem Personalverantwortlichen, sondern kann mit diesem ins Gespräch kommen und beweisen, dass die Stelle bereits in deinen Händen liegt und du dich für sie interessierst.

Die Recruiter erwarten von den Bewerbern, dass sie die Aktivitäten des Unternehmens und sein Ökosystem (Markt, Konkurrenten...) kennen. Daher ist es besonders entscheidend, dass du vor dem Vorstellungsgespräch genau weißt, was das Unternehmen leistet und welchen Einfluss es in seinem Sektor hat. Im Zeitalter des Internets gibt es für Sie keine Ausreden mehr!

#### Fehler Nr. 3: Unpassend anziehen

Man kann niemals behaupten, dass du es mit der Kleidung übertreibst: Im Zweifel gilt es, immer mit " Ja" auf die Frage "Soll ich eine Krawatte/einen Anzug tragen?" zu antworten. Selbst wenn das Unternehmen als "jung und locker" gilt, solltest du besorgt und ernsthaft erscheinen.

#### Fehler Nr. 4: An das Handy gehen oder auf die Uhr schauen

Einen Anruf entgegenzunehmen, und auf die Uhr schaue wirkt oft respektlos und gilt als Zeichen dafür, dass der Bewerber keinerlei Aufmerksamkeit widmet. Der Arbeitgeber soll erkennen, wie wichtig dir das Gespräch und der Job ist!

#### Fehler Nr. 5: Nicht genug Begeisterung zeigen (Wenig reden)

Jeder Personalverantwortliche sucht nach einer Person, die motiviert und engagiert ist und für einige Zeit im Unternehmen bleiben wird. Es reicht nicht nur dich und deinen Werdegang vorstellen zu können und danach zu hoffen nichts mehr sagen zu müssen

Wenn du keine Begeisterung zeigst und auch Rückfragen stellst, lässt es dich unmotiviert und unsicher wirken. Falls er feststellen muss, dass ein Bewerber lediglich auf ein besseres Angebot wartet, dann ist die Bewerbung für ihn in jedem Fall irrelevant.

#### Fehler 6: Zu großes Interesse an den Leistungen des Unternehmens zeigen.

Bei der Bewerbung muss die Begeisterung für die Stelle und das Unternehmen im Mittelpunkt stehen. Andernfalls entsteht ein unangenehmes und beunruhigendes Gefühl. Es darf nicht der Eindruck entstehen, dass die in der Einrichtung angebotenen Leistungen das Hauptinteresse des Bewerbers sind.

Beim Vorstellungsgespräch ist es angemessen, mit dem Personalverantwortlichen über Ihre Gehaltsvorstellungen zu sprechen. Allerdings ist es nicht der richtige Zeitpunkt, darauf zu beharren, "wie viel Urlaub/TTT" du bekommst oder "welche Angebote und Leistungen der Betriebsrat bietet".

#### Fehler Nr. 7 : Den häufigsten Fragen nicht vorgreifen.

Beim Vorstellungsgespräch wird der Arbeitgeber unvermeidlich Fragen stellen, die sich auf den vorgelegten Lebenslauf beziehen. Deswegen ist es erforderlich, dass du jedes einzelne Argument, das im Lebenslauf enthalten ist, gut beschreiben bzw. verdeutlichen lassen solltest. Falls du nicht in der Lage bist, eine Frage zu beantworten, besteht also möglicherweise Zweifel, ob es sich um einen falschen Lebenslauf handelt.

#### Fehler Nr. 8 : Stress deutlich anzeigen

Die Belastung durch Stress im Vorstellungsgespräch ist ein ganz normaler Zustand. Recruiter spüren sofort, ob du dich nicht wohl fühlst, und bemerken jeden deiner psychischen Anwandlungen. Daher ist es besonders darauf zu achten, den Stress unter Kontrolle zu halten oder wenigstens nicht nach außen hin zu zeigen.

Ein gutes Beispiel: Ihre Nervosität zeigt sich deutlich in Ihrer verschlossenen Körpersprache.

#### Fehler Nr.9 : Zu viel Geplapper Z.B. (Über dein Privatleben erzählen)

Dies ist so ziemlich das Gegenteil des vorherigen Fehlers: Das Gespräch kommt voran, du fühlst dich mehr und mehr wohl . Doch sei vorsichtig, dass du nicht zu sehr in die Vertrautheit abdriftest oder zu sehr auf dein Privatleben eingehst! Die/der Personalverantwortliche sollte das Gespräch lenken und persönliche Themen nur dann ansprechen, wenn sie/er Sie dazu auffordert.

#### Fehler Nr. 10 : Zu viel Selbstbewusstsein / Arroganz

Sicheres, selbstbewusstes und offenes Auftreten ist sehr wichtig beim Vorstellungsgespräch. Der Grat zwischen Selbstbewusstsein und Arroganz bzw. Überheblichkeit ist manchmal schmaler als du denkst. Man verliert an Glaubwürdigkeit, wenn man zu viele Behauptungen aufstellt. Mit Beispielen und Geschichten sollte man seine Aussagen illustrieren. Hab keine Angst, bescheiden zu sein, indem du Sätze wählst wie "Ich hatte das Glück, ...". Allerdings darfst du nicht in Selbstverleumdung verfallen! (Ich habe keinen Verdienst ...).

#### Fehler 11 : Nicht zu den eigenen Fehlern stehen oder behaupten keine Schwächen zu haben.

Wenn du sagst, du hättest noch nie einen Fehler gemacht, dann merkt der Arbeitgeber, dass das eine Lüge ist. Oft bitten Recruiter die Bewerber, von einem eigenen Fehler zu erzählen und zu erklären, wie sie diesen Fehler überwunden haben, um zu überprüfen, ob sie mit komplexen Situationen umgehen könnten. Dabei suchen die Personalverantwortlichen nicht nach Mitarbeitern, die noch nie einen Fehler gemacht haben, sondern nach Mitarbeitern, die mit solchen Fehlern umgehen und daraus lernen können.

#### Fehler 13: Plötzlich auf „Du“ umspringen

Die Frage, warum du wechseln möchtest, wird fast immer gestellt.

Ein echtes klassisches  **Absolut Don’t** ist es, sich schlecht über den jetzigen oder letzten Arbeitgeber zu äußern. Dazu gehört auch, sich über das Tätigkeitsfeld zu beschweren. Das zeigt illoyales Verhalten und wirft ein schlechtes Licht auf dich.
