Our role is to help Trading and Origination, as well as Energy and Asset Exposure Management teams in designing and implementing new products. We advise on design and ensure that risks, costs and operational feasibility of a new product are evaluated, so that commercial ambitions and competitive advantage can be supported by sustainable operations, we further on take an active role in handling implementation of these products throughout the value chain. The team consists of six colleagues located in Oslo and Dusseldorf, and reports to the Head of Product Development and Implementation. Due to increased activity levels and expected growth of business in Europe, we are now looking to strengthen our team.</p></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Job Description</h2></div><div><p>As a Product Engineer, you will support the team in improving and further strengthening the New Product Approval and Implementation (NPAI) Process and daily operations. The role is dynamic and offers an excellent opportunity to (further) develop your competences in project and stakeholder management and your knowledge of renewable energy products.</p><ul><li>You will be supporting our Front office by driving new product proposals forward through design, development and the “New Product Approval and Implementation process.</li><li>Contribute to further develop the NPAI Process, including quality and transparency of information, clarify and strengthen requirements, analyze needs, and further develop communication and information tools supporting the process.</li><li>You will contribute to the work of a cross-functional team of experts. The team consists of experts from Front-, Middle-, and Back Offices to Compliance, IT, Legal, Tax and Accounting, who will jointly shape the product proposal and find solutions for how to implement it into our processes and systems. You will learn and support the team in preparing and facilitating workshops to ensure, that the cross functional team finds solutions to challenges that arise, as well as produce the key deliverables required for decision making and implementation of the new product.</li><li>You will work on several new product initiatives simultaneously, which require flexibility and efficiency as well as mitigation and problem solver skills. Keeping an eye on both the big picture and on critical details of the case provides you with the opportunity to gain deep knowledge of energy products and their implementation in our processes and systems.</li></ul></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Qualifications</h2></div><div><ul><li>Bachelor or higher degree in Business / Finance / Economics / Science / Engineering or similar</li><li>Prior working experience, preferably in energy &amp; commodity industry, trading or banking, management consulting</li><li>Prior knowledge about Risk management and back-office processes, is an advantage.</li><li>Curiosity to understand new topics and learn, passion to solve detailed challenges when needed</li><li>Experience in participating in, or even leading projects</li><li>Excellent communication skills and people skills. Ability to build strong relations with different functions across the organization and ability and willingness to understand differing views, expectations, needs and personal preferences.</li><li>Self-driven, structured, and a can-do-attitude - both when working independently as well as in driving the work of a team forward</li><li>Language skills: Fluent in written and spoken English.
