About the team The AUTOproff Platform Engineering team are responsible for internal infrastructure products, like our event driven infrastructure and managed CI/CD solutions, used across the tech teams with cloud native applications on AWS. Topics like scalability, resilience, observability, and developer experience are part of our daily conversations. We invest in self-service and a product mindset to increase our impact. We also contribute to the improvement of the architecture, engineering practices and processes across the company. About the role As our Platform Engineer at AUTOproff you will become part of the AUTOproff Platform Engineering team and enable engineering teams to deliver software quickly and reliably and live our “you build it, you run it” approach. Let's dive into your key responsibilities <ul> <li>Be responsible for the end-to-end operations of the products owned by your team.</li> <li>Collaborate with a product manager and engineering teams to identify the right problem to solve.</li> <li>Develop tools and frameworks to enable developers to build and maintain services.</li> <li>Shape the architecture, technology choices and develop infrastructure products.</li> <li>Support other engineers that use your team’s products, participate in on-call, and troubleshoot production incidents.</li> </ul> What you need to succeed <ul> <li>Appreciation for Infrastructure as Code, Pipeline as Code, Continuous Delivery and the Accelerate metrics</li> <li>Experience with IaaS cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. (Ideally with AWS)</li> <li>Strong familiarity with DevOps principles, design patterns and experience using them</li> <li>Familiarity with core IaaS concepts such as compute, storage, networking, identity management, etc.</li> <li>Knowledge of observability concepts</li> <li>Experience with monitoring technologies such as CloudWatch, Datadog, OpsGenie and NewRelic</li> <li>Experience in software engineering, ideally in one of: C#, Python, Golang, Typescript.</li> <li>Familiarity with event messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, SNS, SQS</li> <li>Problem solving and collaboration skills.</li> <li>CI/CD solutions such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins</li> </ul> You will thrive in this role if you <ul> <li>You are structured, able to organize your time and document your work.</li> <li>You enjoy working on many different types of projects</li> <li>You have a passion for software development in an informal, dynamic, and agile work environment.</li> <li>You have the ability to work independently, and you are not afraid to take responsibility from day one</li> </ul> Your colleagues say about you <ul> <li>Can always be trusted to deliver timely with high degree of engagement and quality</li> <li>Great team-player with a can-do attitude</li> <li>Self-organized and able to prioritize your own and your teams work and priorities</li> <li>Positive and fun to be around, when we socialize together</li> </ul> If you think we could be a match, we can’t wait to hear from you.
