Championing a collaborative, supportive and flexible work environment empowers our colleagues to reach their full potential.</p></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Job Description</h2></div><div><p>The Release Manager (Software Release Engineer) will be working in the Release Management team for our SaaS clients in Region Europe, based in Berlin, Germany.<br> <br> We build, configure, and deploy various software artifacts in test, integration, and production environments. You will be responsible for a defined set of customers and support them during various SDLC phases and go live.</p><p><strong>Your key tasks </strong></p><ul><li>Govern the release management processes of specific/assigned Avaloq products</li><li>Responsible for software packaging, code merge and log analysis of Avaloq core and front platforms</li><li>Managing release and building, deploying, versioning code using tools like ICE, GIT, Artifactory and Jira</li><li>Participate to definition of yearly Release Calendar for all SaaS clients</li><li>Coordinate with internal and external technical teams for deploy</li><li>Issues investigation and troubleshooting: provide installation insight, and approach on addressing installation invalids and errors</li><li>Build-up and disseminate release management know-how to peers</li><li>Technical consulting for the setup of the Avaloq Database factory and for Avaloq specific applications (ICE, Smart Client, Integration Robot)</li><li>Identify places for quality improvement and execution speed up</li><li>Contribution to design and technical documentation for software life cycle</li><li>Collaboration with specialists of different areas for the implementation of cross-domain activities</li><li>Build trustworthy relations with internal and external stakeholders as developers, PMs, Test Managers and Client Managers.</li><li>Being available for the team on-call service (7x24)</li></ul></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Qualifications</h2></div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering Degree.</li><li>3 to 5 years of Release Management and/or Configuration Management experience, ideally in the banking and financial services industry.</li><li>Experience with Unix, Oracle, SQL, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, Gerrit, Bitbucket or other source code management tools.</li><li>Know-how in analysing technical problems and automating recurring administrative activities.</li><li>Conflict resolution, stakeholder management, experience in multi-cultural matrix teams.</li><li>Good written and spoken English.</li><li>Open to work in weekend/shifts and to extended support beyond shifts unscheduled hot fix releases.</li></ul><p><strong>It would be a real bonus if you have</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge about Avaloq Front Platform, Mobile Application releases.</li><li>Avaloq ICE Release Stream creation, cutover.</li><li>Shell scripting, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Container Platform.</li><li>Agile / Oracle Cloud / ITIL certified.</li><li>Be used to fast pace and complex environments.</li><li>At ease in writing technical documentations (e.g. on Confluence).</li><li>Knowledge of German language, even though not mandatory</li></ul><p>In our experience, Release Managers (Software Release Engineers) who are particularly good at their job share some additional skills that we would also like to find in our future colleagues: being analytical, reliable, service oriented and with a problem-solver attitude.</p></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Additional Information</h2></div><div><p>We realize that managing work life balance is a challenge we all face in our daily lives and in order to support with this we are pleased to offer hybrid and flexible working for most of our Avaloqers to maintain work life balance and still continue our fantastic Avaloq culture in our global offices.<br> <br> In Avaloq we are proud to embrace diversity and understand the success of our business is built on the power of different opinions, we are whole heartedly committed to fostering an equal opportunity environment and inclusive culture where you can be your true authentic self. <br> <br> We hire, compensate and promote regardless of origin, age, gender identity, sexual orientation or any other fantastic traits that make us all unique, we have done our best to write this advert in an inclusive and neutral way. <br> <br> Please be aware that we will not accept speculative CV submissions for any of our roles from recruitment agencies, and any unsolicited candidate submissions will be exempt from any payment expectations. </p></div></section></div>
