This database will help us in matching supplier capabilities with Bosch part requirements and in comparing and rating different suppliers to find the best suitable supplier for a specific case.<br> We have not yet decided if we are going to program this database in house, source it out or if there are already systems available on the market which could be customized to our needs.<br> The goal of this thesis is to create a sound basis for the make-or-buy decision based on different scenarios.<br> The scope of your work will be as follows:</p><ul><li>In the 1st month, you will engage in literature research on make-or-buy decisions to gain an understanding of the background of the supplier database to be developed.</li><li>In the 2nd month you will define relevant criteria for the decision.</li><li>In the 3rd month, an extensive desktop search of systems already available on the market will take place with possibilities for customization.</li><li>Following that, in the 4th month, you will develop different potential scenarios.</li><li>In the 5th month you will detail different scenarios and derive a proposal for the decision.</li><li>Last but not least, in the 6th month, you will document the results and finalize your master thesis.</li></ul></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Qualifications</h2></div><div><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> Master studies in the field of Business Administration, Economic Sciences, Business Engineering or Marketing</li><li><strong>Experience and Knowledge:</strong> competent handling of MS Office (Excel, PPT, ...) </li><li><strong>Personality and Working Practice:</strong> responsible person with good analytical skills, a highly structured way of working and the willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams and also in a self-organized manner</li><li><strong>Languages:</strong> very good in English, and ideally also in German (the thesis can also be completely written in German)</li></ul></div></section><section><div><p></p><h2>Additional Information</h2></div><div><p><strong>Start:</strong> October 2023<br> <strong>Duration:</strong> 6 months</p><p>Requirement for this thesis is the enrollment at university.
